Apple’s Biggest Week of 2026: MacBook Neo at $599, iPhone 17e, and Tim Cook’s Succession Plan

Apple announced seven new products in a single week, marking its most aggressive product rollout in years. The headline is the MacBook Neo at $599, a low-cost laptop powered by the A18 Pro chip designed for education and emerging markets. The iPhone 17e at $499 extends Apple’s strategy of offering more affordable options.
In a historic leadership transition, Tim Cook announced he will become Executive Chairman with John Ternus assuming the role of CEO. The transition marks the end of the Cook era. Apple reported Q2 revenue of $111.2 billion, up 17%, with $100 billion in new buybacks authorized.
